| The new Belvidere Central Middle School encompasses an exploratory curriculum, team teaching and team and cooperative learning. Students are housed in grade level clusters designed to expand from a 1,000 student facility to 1,500. Each cluster has it's own multi-purpose gathering area, faculty lounge/workroom, LD Class-rooms and Science rooms. The 40-acre site separates bus, parent/ visitor and staff traffic for minimum congestion at school start and ending times.
The recessed cafeteria is ideal for watching school productions on the Stage/PE Station. Tables fold into the wall for multi-purpose use of the room. The school features a natural stone look with terrazzo flooring. Accents and metal roofing shows off the school's color, purple. Room for future expansion is built into the site and would include room for eight classrooms in two additions. |
