Additions to Sauk Prairie High School increased its area by 30%. Interactive planning sessions with the owner focused our design efforts with these primary directives: expand the space for the music and dance programs; expand administration area; and create a Math Resource Center. Other components are: a new 2-station Gym, new Lockerrooms, new Computer Labs, and a new Science Lab.

Remodeling expanded and updated the Art room, Library, Locker-rooms, and Training room.

The project, completed in partnership with a contractor/manager, was issued in 3 separate bid packages to meet an aggressive, fast-track schedule. Opened on time for the beginning of the 97-98 school year, our design also succeeded the challenge to alleviate such problems as: inadequate classroom and gymnasium space for future student populations; noncompliance with ADA, OSHA, and other state codes; difficulties brought on by 30-year-old mechanical and electrical systems; lack of adequate technology support for technology, college prep, and vocational programs.

The new Band Room is ample in size and features space-efficient instrument storage. The new Choral Room provides a dual purpose setup, with a large carpeted area for traditional chorus and an adjacent wooden floor and mirrored wall for the school’s award winning singing and dancing show chorus; New 5-lane competition pool.
