“You did an exceptional job of blending the old with the new and it is often difficult to determine where one begins and another ends…You have an excep-tional way of working with school personnel as you listen, suggest, and then design…”

This project began in 1994 with a Facility Study to determine addition and remodeling concepts. Planning sessions focused on developing design ideas to alleviate such problems as:

• inadequate classroom and gymnasium space for future student populations;
• noncompliance with ADA, OSHA, and other state codes;
• difficulties brought on by 30-year-old mechanical and electrical systems;
• lack of adequate technology support for technology, college prep, and vocational programs.

A successful referendum brought additions totaling 32,000 square feet:

• 13 classrooms,
• Band Room,
• Art Room,
• New Main Entrance,
• Choral Room,
• Administration Area.

Expanded and/or updated areas are:

• Computer Labs,
• Science Labs,
• Locker areas,
• Kitchen and Cafeteria.

We completed construction on a “fastrack” schedule and phased the work into three separate bid packages with multiple completion dates for turning over portions of the work to the District.
